Do the Write Thing

The Election Campaign for the Governor of the Commonwealth

Mirlande Pierre

The evening of Wednesday, October 25th, of two thousand and six was a very joyful evening for me, because of the DCU Democratic Party political event. It was my dream to meet to meet those great men and women of the United States of America, especially Mr. Clinton, Ted Kennedy and Deval Patrick. Talking about Deval Patrick, he seems like a very good person to be the next Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Also, I very much appreciated his wife whose speech impressed me. I said to myself that behind a great man should be a great woman. I hope everything goes very well for them. Tim Murray will be a great Lieutenant Governor behind Mr. Patrick. They will be a very good team. I will never forget that day because I used to watch them on the TV but I saw them live. I hope that they will keep their promises like President Clinton, Senator Ted Kennedy and Senator Kerry. I send a very special thanks to my school and my wonderful teacher Mrs. Sue who brought me to that very historic night of my life.
