Author's photo goes hereColonial Time is a period of time lasted from 1607 to 1776, when most people from England decided to start a new life in the United States. In this time many men and women left from Europe to settle along the eastern coast of the United States from Georgia to New Hampshire. The Pilgrims came in the new county for religion freedom, political freedom and to search the new life opportunity.

Their life for the first two year was very difficult because half of the people died from cold, disease and lack of food. The Indian helped the Pilgrims for the first winter, and they showed them how to hunt and fish. Next fall the Pilgrims organized a feast to give thanks to the Native American for their help. This day was the first Thanksgiving.

Respect now the life that was lead in the colonies was a lot different because they did not know all the means that serve to render life comfortably. The Pilgrims only lived off cultivated crops, hunting and fishing. They raised the animals and they lived a humble life.
