My pet peeve is smoke. I don't like smoking because
I think I
is really a bad habit. Smoking brings on health problems, like asthma,
and other serious daises. Many people have died from smoking all
over
the world. When people smoke in front of me I have headache and I
feel
to bad for them because they don't appreciate their life they are
destroying their lives. |

Flor Martinez, author of “My Pet Peeve” is a student at the Power Program in Waltham. “I was born in the “Eternal Spring” also known as Guatemala in 1975 into a family of three where I am the second. Flor in English means flower. I came to U.S.A in 2001 with my two sons. In the past six years I have seen my children grow up bilingual and that has been nice. My future goals are to write and speak English very well and to take a course on medical assistance and get a good job.” |
