My name is Alex I'm from Guatemala.
I came to the United
States two years ago looking for a job, but I didn't work for the
first
month. Finally, after one month I began to work for a construction
company. In this company I learned everything I could, and now I
have
one year working for another company because this second company
pays me
more than the other company. During these two years I was buying
my own
tools because I like working on Saturdays by myself and, if I have
some
extra work, I do it when I can. I have already done 12 jobs by myself,
and I know some more are coming up because I'm a good carpenter and
I do
work for a good price.

“I’m from Guatemala.
I have been in the United States for three years. I live in Waltham
with my brother Henry, but my mom and dad and sister and my two brothers
all live in Guatemala. I’m 24 years old. I’m single and
I’m a carpenter. I came to the United States looking for
better opportunities.” |
