Do the Write Thing

Ladies and Gentlemen

Neuza Goncalves

My name is Neuza Goncalves and I was born in Brazil and I am in level two. We feel very proud and grateful for being able to participate in this English school program. We also are very proud of the people who have invested in our future. I think that when the idea was developed to create this program the importance of immigrants to learn English was clear. This changed our lives, especially my life to be able to understand and to speak a little bit of English. I know that I still can not speak or understand English very well, but I want every one to know that I am only in level two, and I still have some years in front of me. The little that I know has opened many doors in my life; to have better job, to participate in my daughter's school activities, and to be able to go to my doctor's alone. You can not imagine the possibilities that you have given me. You can not imagine the power that was created inside of me so that in the future through my learning experiences in this program, I will be able to repay what I have learned to this great country. I want to give special gratitude to the people who created and supported this program. I want to give special thanks to the team working in my school. I want to congratulate three special people for their professionalism, patience, their time and the love they have for their work. I want to say thank you very, very much to our director Maria, counselor Donna and my beloved teacher Jo also again. Thank you very much for making my dreams come true.
