Do the Write Thing

Imagine

Jeffrey Wilson

Imagine being an African in the south in the 1800’s.
Imagine being brought to shores of this country, stolen from everything and everyone you knew, to be forced to a place where there’s nothing you know.
Imagine being put in a belly of a ship, chained from head to toe with thousands of your people next to you.
Imagine seeing the youngest to the oldest sick and dying from diseases and hunger.
Imagine being brought to the shores of “AMERICA The Land of the Free and The Brave.”
Imagine not being free and you are too afraid to be brave, this is the life of a slave here on the shores of America in the 1800’s.
Imagine putting a price on a person because he or she is black or because they don’t speak your tongue or because they look different from you.
Now imagine this happening now here in the 1800’s. “We are people of a nation”. For all people we want Freedom, Justice, and Equality. We the people are for the people, of all colors, races, and ways of life.

IMAGINE…
