Editorial Teams Wanted for

2009 Edition of

“Do the Write Thing"

2009 Editorial Board Members will Click HERE


 

We are seeking teachers (Editorial Team Leaders) AND their classes (Editorial Teams) to serve on the Editorial Board of this year's “Do the Write Thing.” Our goal is to have one editorial team from each program. In January/February 2009, the Editorial Board will review the writings submitted.


Team Leaders (teachers)

  • Teachers (Editorial Team Leaders) will receive a stipend for participating in team leader trainings.

•  ALL new Editorial Team Leaders will receive training on how to use the rubric.

•  Editorial Team Leaders AND the Editorial Team Members MUST have access to the Internet because all writings will be on-line and all evaluations will be submitted on-line.

•  Editorial Team Leaders will attend and participate in the Authors' Reception on May 14, 2009 (morning or evening session).


Team Members (students)

•  Editorial Team Members must be in a Pre-GED / GED level class or ESOL Intermediate / Advanced level class.

•  Editorial Team Members will read the assigned submissions for “ Do the Write Thing.” between January 19 through February 20, 2009.

•  Editorial Team Members will use the user-friendly rubric on-line to evaluate each assigned writing and submit its score on-line (access to the Internet is a MUST) between

January 19 and February 20, 2009.

•  Editorial Team Members MUST have access to the Internet because all writings will be on-line and all evaluations will be submitted on-line.

•  Editorial Team Members are strongly encouraged to attend and participate in the Author Reception on May 14, 2009 (morning or evening session).
