Do the Write Thing

In My Past

Giselle M.

When I was a child I lived in Cuba in a small city named Santa Clara. I used to play out of my house with my friends and cousins; I often played baseball in a little yard near my house. I lived with my parents and my grandparents in a big house located in a suburban neighborhood about 10 minutes from the downtown.

I used to go to the school every morning but I did not like it. I used to prefer to stay at home and do anything I wanted to do. However I had a lot of friends at school and I had some good times there. My favorite game was to explore places near my house with a lot of vegetation and to climb up the trees. I liked to take the fruits from trees and eat them. The weather was very hot almost all the year so I used wear shorts and little blouses. The snacks were often something cool like an ice-cream or a soda. My vacations were frequently in the sea because there were a lot of beaches near my city, so I could learn to swim very well. I especially used to like to play in the sand with my brothers. I remember my childhood was very happy.
