Do the Write Thing

In Albanian "A" is "A"

F. Naum

When I came in the U.S., I could not speak and could not understand English. Difficulties began as soon as I entered in airplane. I looked around maybe to meet anybody that spoke Albanian, Greek or Russian, but I was unfortunate. When stewardess asked me: what do you want to drink? I with gestures told her that I wanted water. When airplane stopped in Zurich, I looked around, but didn't hear anyone speak Albanian, Greek or Russian. After three hours I needed to ask: where is Gate A? but I didn't know that A in English sounds like E, because in Albanian A is A. I was confused and worried that nobody understood where I wanted to go. At the last minute I met one Greek man, and he told me to go with him, and I was happy.
