September 11

September 11 has been for me an event that I cannot forget. It impacted me so much that two days after I still could not believe it.

I remember that morning. I was working when around 10:00am a friend told me about the World Trade Center in New York. I did not think that terrorist had attacked that important financial center. Later he called me to tell me that terrorist had hijacked two more planes.

At noon, I sat down at my desk and I read the news on the internet. I remember President Bush’s face when he got the news. He was in a school in Florida. Immediately, I began to research for more information about that. I feel very sad because I always thought that these things could not occur in the United States.

When I got home around 5:30pm, my wife was waiting for me. She turned on the television to watch the news. I did not believe that those terrorists could combine those events.

Since September 11 I have been living without personal safety in United States. Now I only trust God, and everyday I try to be closer to Him. These events tell us that Christ is coming soon.
