I Watch Baseball on Television

Baseball in very popular in America. The American people are all crazy about it, especially in Boston, which has one famous team call the Red Sox.

In school I heard a little about the Red Sox story. Since 1918 the Red Sox have never won a World Series. Some people said it was because the Red Sox sold the Bambino to the New York Yankees and got cursed. Now the Red Sox have won the pennant so the Red Sox made history. They broke the Curse of the Bambino. The Boston Red Sox and the St. Louis Cardinals will compete to win the World Series.

I don’t know how to play baseball, but for the last couple of weekends, I sat in front of the TV and watched every single game. They had home runs, they ran, I clapped my hands and made an extra effort. I knew they could not hear, but I did it anyway.

Until now the Red Sox have already won three games. I f the Red Sox win tonight, it will be the first time they have won the World Series since 1918. One player named Curt Schilling has a loose tendon in his right ankle. A doctor put stitches in his leg outside the skin. It hurts and the whole time he did not take painkillers, he wanted to finish all the games, then go to the hospital. He is a hero.

Also, I saw on both teams every single player chew something in his mouth. Then spit it out onto the ground, very gross looking. I think the players still need manners.
