My Best Pet

Ten years ago I fed three puppies in my house. They were very distinguished. Two of them were a combination black and white. The other one was so special for me, it had three colors: white, brown and black with a spot on its whole body. It had a short tail, long ears and short hair. It was a fat female and she was 1 ft high and 1 half ft. long.

Why she was very special? Well… She was a smart dog. She understood everything I wanted her to do. I am very proud to let you know “Why she was incredible?” I would like to introduce her. Her name was Tong. It means yellow goal in Lao language. She knew how to survive more than any pet could do. Every day before I arrived home she heard my motorbike’ s voice, she was already in front of the garage even when it was raining! She welcomed me back home with her warm voice and she would come to touch me. When I had guests who came over, she had always done her job with severe security. She did not bite but she would bark until the guests left the house. Every day she walked around the house all night for protection until the sun rose and someone woke up. It was her break time. She could walk on two feet; sing songs when she heard music, climbed the trees; and jumped over fences. She made friendships with chickens, ducks and cats but she always bit the rats. Many times she resc ued chickens when they fell into water. At eating time when she was hungry, she brought me her bowl and sang a song before eating.

The best thing that she ever did made me marvel. She brought me back my purse when I lost it. She had spent a wonderful time with us for six years. Unfortunately, she had been poisoned by someone who was envious. At her death time, she still lied down in front of the garage. Although she left us forever, she is always remembered in our hearts.

Thank you for spending time to read my story.
